What to Expect in \Mrs. Davis' Class

A. Writing Assignment: Write 4 essays per 9 weeks. Essays will be persuasive and expository

B. Utilize Weekly Reader Writing Magazine as part of writing program.'

C. Read 20 minutes each night. Do Read, Reflect and Respond Sheet (Reading Class)

D. Language Arts: Read a fiction and a nonfiction book and do 10 index summary cards per 9 weeks. Include: title, author, 10 summary sentences, tell why you did/did not enjoy reading the book, write one question you have, and write somethign you need to have clarified.

E. Homework:

-Study weekly vocabulary for test on Friday.

-READ 20 minutes each night.

-Check planner for assignments.

Mrs. Davis provides tutoring mornings and after school.
