Q: When and where is the 8th grade graduation held?

A: Graduation will be on the last day of school, June 1, 2007. The ceremony will start promptly at 9:00 a.m.

 

Q: Are the graduate's younger siblings allowed to attend the ceremony?

A: Siblings may attend if they are checked out of school and accompanied by the graduate's parent or guardian.

 

Q: What should my child wear for the graduation ceremony?

A: Students should wear dressy-casual clothes within school dress code (no spaghetti straps or exposed midriffs for girls). No jeans, no sneakers or tennis shoes, no flip flops. Girls may wear dresses, skirts, dress slacks. Boys need to wear khaki or dress slacks and a nice shirt.

 

Q:How long will the graduation ceremony last?

A: Approximately one hour and fifteen minutes (be sure to stay for a special presentation after the ceremony!).

 

Q: May I take my 8th grader home after graduation?

A: Students may be officially checked out through the front office following the graduation ceremony, or they can remain in school for the entire day.
